We celebrate a special place where passion meets culture in the lives of our staff and residents every day. Our staff is passionate about providing the best possible care for our residents and ensuring your moms, dads, and grandparents, and other family members are treated like family.

As a close-knit community, we strive to provide opportunities for our residents and staff members to pursue their passions. Amy Deemter started at Brookcrest as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) four years ago. Growing up, she felt motivated to go to medical school after watching her Grandpa’s journey with Parkinson’s. She found her niche at Brookcrest and with support from our tuition reimbursement program, Amy completed nursing school, while continuing to serve the residents in her care, and is now a Licensed Practical Nurse(LPN).

Our tuition reimbursement program gave Amy the emotional and financial support she needed. She felt appreciated and empowered by her colleagues and managers to move forward in her education and career goals.

Staff members like Amy strive to inspire a connection between staff members and residents at Brookcrest. These connections help bring out individual passions and fosters support for the dreams and goals of staff and residents alike.

Amy treasures the special moments she creates with residents, and they inspire her to continue her compassionate work. When it comes to resident care, it is important to practice leaving personal issues at the door and focus on fostering a nurturing and loving environment for the residents, but also yourself as a staff member, according to Amy. If you don’t take care of yourself, you can’t take care of your residents.

Amy misses her residents when she is not at work and is all the more excited to return to work the next day. At Brookcrest, our passion for learning, growing, and providing compassionate care never runs out.
