The earth has moved from the manufacturing age into information grown older. The whole world now depends on facts, and education as an institute is not an exception to this particular fact. Computers are at the center of information technology. Information is what personal computers process, transmit, and retail outlets. We use computers to generate, manipulate, and manage details faster and more efficiently than any previously invented system. So, the better you understand personal computers and what they can and are unable to do, the more power you should put the information to work to suit your needs. Knowledge is power!

Yet information technology does not only require computers. It also includes just how computer and communications systems are combined; the result is “Information Technology” – INFOTECH: technology that merges calculating with telecommunication links holding data, sound, and video clips. Computers can be stand-alone machines, unconnected to anything. If all you accomplish is word processing to post-term paper, that may be okay. However, the communications component of the laptop computer system vastly extends the stove of PCs. Data transmission provides information processing expert services throughout the office worldwide.

Again, to understand information technology, you need to know how computers work. Several vital concepts type the basis of computer surgery:

First: The purpose of a computer should be to process data into facts. Data consists of the new realities and figures that happen to be processed into information, for instance, the votes for different persons elected to the university student government office.
